You turned the gun, nodding at me. I smiled, cocking the hammer. My finger trembled; I was plenty more scared than I would ever care to admit. "Close your eyes," you said softly. "It helps." I nodded, pulling the trigger while my life scrolled my through my mind.
It clicked; I breathed a sigh of almost relief. I turned the ancient six chamber revolver to face you, happy to get it away from me. You gave me a twisted smile, repeating my same actions. "Breathe," you said. "It'll be over soon."
A thought passed my mind at that moment; you were sitting there, across the table from me. You'd never lost this game.
